“A failure is a project that doesn’t work, an initiative that teaches you something at the same time the outcome doesn’t move you directly closer to your goal.
A mistake is either a failure repeated, doing something for the second time when you should have known better, or a misguided attempt (because of carelessness, selfishness or hubris) that hindsight reminds you is worth avoiding.
We need a lot more failures, I think. Failures that don’t kill us make us bolder, and teach us one more way that won’t work, while opening the door to things that might.
School confuses us, so do bosses and families. Go ahead, fail. Try to avoid mistakes, though.”

I have immersed myself in personal and leadership development over the past 5 months and there is so much that I have learned about myself and humans in general.
One of the things that stands out to me is how committed we are to being right all the time. We will wage wars and disconnect from people just so that we can be right and they wrong.
Through the education process that I have been going through, I have come to a realization that this righteousness, and justifying ourselves all the time is simply a pretence that we have developed over time to avoid responsibility and accountability. Interesting, is it not?
Try noticing this next time you are either part of a conversation or hearing a conversation between 2 people. You will be able to hear it right in the conversation that there is more of a need for being right than for the person to being committed to something much higher than that.
Example: My wife called held me accountable on one of the financial agreements that we had between her and I. Automatically when she called me on it, I had an urge to defend myself by making her wrong and highlighting where she dropped the ball.
This is how we, as humans, continue to live life.
Have you noticed that many of us play the famous Tim’s role; you know, VIC-TIM. It is never our responsibility: it is the economy, it is the other person, it is the market, it was the schooling, it is our company, it is our spouse, it is the prospects, it is our parents, it was our siblings, it is our friends, it is the product, it is the business, etc…it is never us.
Let’s look at this VIC-TIM idea and see where we apply it in life; how is that area of our life doing? Chances are, there is a lack of power.
To live life powerfully try taking on that we have created and attracted the things we have and the things that we do not have. Instead of being committed to our righteousness, let’s be committed to building up people. Let’s just in our small ways, we become responsible for our experience of what life brings our way. In any given situation let’s ask the question to ourselves, “how can I be responsible for my experience?”
We are powerful beings. Yet we lack compassion for ourselves and for our fellow humans. What if you could accept everyone for who they are? How ridiculous is it to accept the people in your lives for who they are not? Why are we always out there to change people? Treat others as if they are powerful beings, and in turn see your life turn.
You might me screaming up and down and saying “Me…”
And I acknowledge you for that. The truth is, and many have said this before me, that success is not a destination; it is a journey. It is who you become in the process that ultimately has you successful.
The focus of my post today is simply to highlight an important ingredient that 95% of the people miss when embarking on a venture, a project, an opportunity, an investment, or a business. This ingredient is the focus on YOU.
Yep! You. Consider that you are not going to accomplish big things without first making YOU work. The person who is out there making it happen is YOU. The opportunity is always equal for everyone; it is you that makes it unique successful and an opportunity of a lifetime for yourself.
You see, one of the things that one of my favourite author says best is “The better you get, the better your efforts will produce the desirable results.” ~ George Zalucki
So let me ask you a question. Since we are always out there, making it happen for ourselves, our families, our kids, our parents, our business partners, our work colleagues, etc, how committed are you to developing your “best self”? Do you think that things that you stand for, deserve the very best of you?
Every successful person, who has ever achieved anything worthwhile has been and continuously immerses him/herself in developing their mind set. John Sanchez, founding partner of BOSSystems, an organization assisting and providing a platform for entrepreneurs to connect and build their businesses, said that the first pillar of their organization is the focus on Mind Set development.
Let me close this post by a quote from a book by Mr. Zalucki: “If you want to succeed, you must separate your thinking, attitudes, and behaviour from the masses of idle dreamers; always “intending” but mostly “pretending”.
The choice is ALWAYS yours. Each of us have the capacity to choose.
And I am not speaking of political leaders!
Have you ever stopped and thought about what is really going on in the world? I used to have an attitude that I simply need to be interested what is going on in my life and my family’s life. Little did I know what a difference I can make when I get out of my own self and take actions to impacting my family’s life through helping others. It is an odd concept I know. But I choose to think outside the box and empower others to not only live for greatness but challenge your status quo whatever that may be.
Following is the email I received from my friends at Magnetic Sponsoring Inc. Although it is speaking about the sneaking inflation and hyper-inflation but if you read in between the lines, it lays out in straight words why it is more than necessary to live and think outside the box; for our sake, for our families’ sake, for our children’s sake and for the sake of a possible future where you and I live a powerful and a meaningful life. We are living, right NOW, at this very moment, in a world of opportunity.
This gets to me,
Saturday, I went to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes with my girlfriend and it cost me thirty bucks for two tickets and a dinky little bag of popcorn.
Yesterday, I bought KFC for dinner and it cost me $40 for a bucket and fries.
The day before I bought a tin of coffee at the grocery store and it cost me $9.95.
(We’re talking Maxwell House not some fancy imported coffee.)McDonald’s now has new chicken wraps available for the “low price” of $7!
Now you tell me why it’s so expensive these days!?
Why it now costs close to one hundred dollars a day to live like we would have lived on fifty bucks a week in what we now refer to as the “good old days”.
I truly do feel for anybody who is living on less than $60,000 a year. When I was living on my own in my late teens I would live off of one twenty dollar bill a month.
My monthly income was about five hundred a month. Half went to rent and bills. Half was socked away under my mattress every month. I was happy.
Six years later I was working two jobs I despised to make ends meet and I couldn’t even afford to go to the grocery store to buy food for six months of that… I lived off of handouts and charity…
Six years ago if you were unemployed it wasn’t such a big deal.
There were jobs to be had and there were plenty of opportunities in a land that was figuratively overflowing with milk and honey.
Today, you can be employed, work overtime, and still starve at the same time.
I tell you something ISN’T right about the world today.
You know it and I know it.
The government is printing bills non-stop and they sure as hell not announcing it on the daily news to the working men and women of the country.
They are SILENTLY TAXING you without your permission or your vote.
Meanwhile they are preparing to use military force within the country if for some reason everything collapses in a rash of riots, fires, and all out violence.
Wow, wonder what could cause that?
HINT: Raising the debt ceiling. Printing more bills. Silently taxing millions of Americans without their permission or vote through hyper-inflation.
But as much as it looks like a bunch of doom and gloom…
There are some men and women, great leaders with panoramic vision, who see it as a world of opportunity…
What does your world look like? The above message may not be for you; it is for those who know there is something bigger that they stand for; it is for those who want to challenge and go beyond the norm…
I am looking for those who resonate with what is said in the above excerpt. Collectively we can and are making a differnce in our families and our communities. Connect with me and let’s talk more on how we can bring education, wealth, empowerment & action not only to our lives but the lives of many. There are many vehicles that can get to where we want to go from where we are and there are reasons for each. Whether it is building a business, building wealth, creating a legacy with Numis Network; or cashflowing your existing money through ownerships in ATMs; or any other ventures that allow you to get outside of your own self…You make the choice…

My coach shared this with a group of us and I thought it is a great fun story that delivers the point. Here goes…
One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!
*****
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
Free your heart from hatred – Forgive.
Free your mind from worries – Most never happen.
Live simply and appreciate what you have.
Give more.
Expect less.NOW …….
Enough of that crap. The donkey later came back, and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite got infected and the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.
MORAL FROM TODAY’S LESSON:
When you do something wrong, and try to cover your ass, it always comes back to bite you!
Have an awesome weekend everyone…
