You might me screaming up and down and saying “Me…”

And I acknowledge you for that.  The truth is, and many have said this before me, that success is not a destination; it is a journey.  It is who you become in the process that ultimately has you successful.

The focus of my post today is simply to highlight an important ingredient that 95% of the people miss when embarking on a venture, a project, an opportunity, an investment, or a business.  This ingredient is the focus on YOU.

Yep!  You.  Consider that you are not going to accomplish big things without first making YOU work. The person who is out there making it happen is YOU.  The opportunity is always equal for everyone; it is you that makes it unique successful and an opportunity of a lifetime for yourself.

You see, one of the things that one of my favourite author says best is “The better you get, the better your efforts will produce the desirable results.” ~ George Zalucki

So let me ask you a question.  Since we are always out there, making it happen for ourselves, our families, our kids, our parents, our business partners, our work colleagues, etc, how committed are you to developing your “best self”? Do you think that things that you stand for, deserve the very best of you?

Every successful person, who has ever achieved anything worthwhile has been and continuously immerses him/herself in developing their mind set.  John Sanchez, founding partner of BOSSystems, an organization assisting and providing a platform for entrepreneurs to connect and build their businesses, said that the first pillar of their organization is the focus on Mind Set development.

Let me close this post by a quote from a book by Mr. Zalucki: “If you want to succeed, you must separate your thinking, attitudes, and behaviour from the masses of idle dreamers; always “intending” but mostly “pretending”.

The choice is ALWAYS yours.  Each of us have the capacity to choose.

    Raza,

Great post here.  Working on YOU is so important.  People can succeed or fail with any company.  The key to success is YOU, not the company.  Most people don’t want to take accountability for that actions or think that they are the solutions to their own problems.

But good leaders always hold themselves accountable and know that they are the solution to their own challenges.  Thanks for sharing Raza.
